This project, titled "Journey into Signs: A Guide to Exploring Indian Sign Language," aims to bridge the gap between the hearing population and the vibrant world of Indian Sign Language (ISL).

The design departs from traditional infographics, opting for an engaging, multi-part format.

Victorian Purse Puzzle Brochure: This brochure, folded using the Victorian purse puzzle technique, transforms a passive experience into an interactive one. The unfolding process itself becomes a playful introduction to ISL.

Basic Sign Language Flashcards: A set of vibrant flashcards accompanies the brochure, each showcasing a common ISL sign alongside its meaning in English.

Vibrant Visual Communication: Simple vector illustrations throughout the infographic maintain consistency and clarity. However, a bold and vibrant colour scheme is employed to dispel the myth that ISL lacks depth and vibrancy.

This project seeks to: Spark curiosity and encourage exploration of ISL among the hearing population. Demonstrate the accessibility and fun aspects of learning basic ISL signs.
Break down stereotypes surrounding sign language as a static communication method.
